Time series analysis of Earth observation[+]

Research and develop methods of extracting information about the dynamics of land use and land cover through integrated time series of Earth observation data analysis.

Spectral Behavior of targets[+]

Stimulate the formation of human resources in the areas of spectral behavior of targets in the visible, near infrared and infrared spectral bands and evaluate the performance of high spectral resolution sensors in tropical environments.

Develop the application of data acquired in the optical remote sensing spectrum, multispectral and hyperspectral (visible, near infrared and medium infrared), LiDAR and microwave for the discrimination, modeling of biophysical parameters and characterization of distinct forest targets, whether occurring naturally or planted.

Monitoring, mapping and estimation of planted area and productivity of main agricultural crops of economic interest; assess the potential of new sensors in agriculture; develop imaging processing methodologies as a tool for obtaining agricultural information; incorporate GIS and GPS technology to assist in image analysis.

Remote Sensing applied to Geoscience[+]

Develop the application of satellite data acquired in the optical remote sensing spectrum, medium, thermal infrared and microwave bands in the multispectral and hyperspectral geological target discrimination, in photogeology and geoprocessing.
