The Windsor Barra Hotel is located right in front of the Barra da Tijuca beach, the longest beach in Rio de Janeiro, with 15 km of clean and tropical green water. Barra da Tijuca is a relatively new neighborhood, as its occupation started in the late 1950s. Barra – as it is popularly known – is famous for its beaches and lakes, and considered one of the most dynamic and safe areas within Rio de Janeiro city. Barra will also host most activities of the 2016 Olympic Games.
