The Amazon Regional Center is one of the regional centers established by the National Institute for Space Research. The activities of CRA involve research and scientific development to becoming a world reference center in the monitoring of tropical forests.
The CRA is currently based on the premises of EMBRAPA - Amazônia Oriental. The
Headquarter is under construction in the Park of Science and Technology of Guama in Belém.
