Bus
There are some non-stop highway buses connecting terminal 2 of São Paulo International Airport (Guarulhos) to São José dos Campos intercity bus station (located only 4 km from INPE’s campus). The bus ticket costs approximately R$ 25 and departs approximately 10 times per day between 06:50 AM and midnight. The estimated travel time is 90 minutes.

The bus ticket can be bought on the exit of terminal 2 in cash in Passaro Marron ticket office (Opening hours: 6:20 AM – 10:30 PM). Advance reservation can also be made online but it requires a visit to the ticket office to get the actual boarding pass before boarding the bus. More information about the buses are available at:

Taxi
A taxi from the airport to INPE’s campus costs approximately US$ 100. The estimated travel time is 70 minutes. On the exit of terminal 2 and 3, the taxi is called in the desk shown below:

Other options available is using Uber app. Meeting points are clearly indicated on the exit of the terminals 2 and 3.

Renting a car
Renting a car in the airport will cost approximately R$ 100 (US$ 30) per day. The estimated travel time is 70 minutes.
